AhlulBayt News Agency: Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, the preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, has described the al-Quds inhabitants’ steadfastness as an impenetrable dam standing in face of the Israeli plots to control al-Quds and its holy sites.
In a press statement on Sunday, Sheikh Sabri said that the Israeli occupation is plotting to Judaize al-Quds (Jerusalem) by isolating it and imposing restrictions on al-Quds citizens in several fields, such as health and education.
"All the Israeli violations have not succeeded in breaking the determination of Jerusalemites," Sheikh Sabri affirmed, adding that they continued their resistance to regain their rights despite the escalating Israeli aggressions.
Sheikh Sabri stressed that the Jewish settlers’ break-ins into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which are deliberately facilitated by tight protection of the Israeli police during the Jewish holidays, aim at changing the status quo at the holy site.
He underlined that the al-Quds residents have been intensifying their presence at the Al-Aqsa to defend it against the recent settlers’ desecrations, adding that such efforts don’t absolve the Arab and Muslim nations from their responsibility in protecting the holy site.
